Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Acceptance is formalized by checking two required consent boxes during registration — one covering the Privacy Policy and one acknowledging that AI-generated guidance is informational only — each presenting a plain-language summary of what you're agreeing to. The date and time of each consent is recorded separately. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the App.
2. Eligibility
The App is restricted to current students at participating schools — currently Busch School of Business. Registration requires a verified email address (cua.edu). You may not share your account or credentials.
3. What the App Does and Does Not Do
The App provides AI-generated course planning suggestions based on the academic profile you enter. These suggestions are informational only. They are not official academic advice and do not constitute a formal degree audit, registration confirmation, or guarantee of graduation eligibility.
Always verify your course plan with your school's academic advisor before making registration decisions. Contact your school's academic advising office for official guidance.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access another student's account or data
- Submit false or misleading academic profile information
- Use the App to generate content for academic dishonesty
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the App or its API endpoints
- Use the App for any commercial purpose
Violations may result in immediate account termination and referral to the University's Office of Academic Integrity.
5. AI-Generated Content
Responses from the AI advisor are generated by Anthropic's Claude model. AI systems can produce incorrect or outdated information. The App does not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated course recommendation, prerequisite statement, or scheduling suggestion. You are responsible for verifying all information against official University sources.
6. Intellectual Property
The App and all associated files are proprietary and confidential. Copyright © 2026 James Moore. All rights reserved. No permission is granted to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, sell, or create derivative works from this software without prior written permission from the copyright holder. Degree requirement data referenced by the App belongs to the respective school it describes. You retain ownership of any content you enter into your academic profile.
7. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by selecting "Delete Account" from the chat sidebar or navigating to /account/delete. You will be asked to confirm your password. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your academic profile, course history, and credentials are removed with no recovery option. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon any termination, your data is permanently deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, James Moore and the participating schools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including decisions made based on AI-generated course suggestions.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
